gees I'm back already!

Well dang I'm sorry to you all for being away for like almost a year. A lot has happened. I now have a 9 month old and dang if I'm not knocked up again with the 3rd one. My 3rd boy is due on July 3. So on this crazy journey of SAHM-ness (SAHM = Stay-at-home-mom for all u singles) I've been running errands around town noticing these bright shiny lunch trucks everywhere. For this very reason I joined Yelp! and downloaded the Yelp! app to my iPhone as well, so that I could find these crazy new trucks and EAT their grindz. Watching Food Network (I really do get a lot of housework done guys, promise) I've noticed the huge phenomenon that Food trucks have become everywhere. They even have trailer parks of them in Texas. Well Hawaii has had lunch wagons for forever but now they're going high tech baby. The 3 that I'm interested in are Food Trip Phillipino food, Gogi Korean Taco Truck and Melt. mmmmmm.
Let's start with the some MELT action! I've read a little about this truck and my mouth is watering to taste it. They're supposed to be serving up some super ono types of grilled cheese. And their pastrami's supposed to be the sh*t! Who knew you could make a lunch truck just by serving gourmet grilled cheese? Brilliant!

Next...Yobo say yo baby! The Gogi Korean Taco Truck. These guys have marketed themselves like no other lunch truck on this island. I mean everyone and their mom seems to know about and has eaten at this truck. So they open at around 11:30 M-F. I wanted to try it so bad I sat in their parking lot @ 1639 Kapiolani for half an hour with a sleeping baby just so I could get a taste of this popular eatery. i had 1 tofu and 1 chicken taco. $2 a pop. I'll tell ya right now like I did on Yelp!. The sauce on those tacos was winnerz. The seriously fresh ginger and flavors were kickin it in my mouth. But when it came to the shell, a plain old corn tortilla from the grocery store just doesn't do it for me. I give em a 8 for the salad and the tofu and chicken were amazing. But the tortilla killed the mojo on that one. Still worth trying and I hear the fries are onoz so I'll be back Gogi guys, don't worry.
Ok and finally I will tell you about Nana's awesome Food Trip truck if you can tell me WHERE THE HECK SHE IS NOW! Sorry, emotional adobo breakdown. You see Nana is missing...well her truck is from her usual spot behind Servco Lexus on Kawaiaha'o that is.

In my first trimester I was desperate for Phillipino food one day and somehow by luck (thank you Jesus!) I stumbled upon this quiet little food truck. Adobo!! Pancit!! She had all of the 2 foods I knew of on the menu and it smelled freekin' awesome. I ordered me a plate of it and I've been hooked ever since. The pancit is super tasty and the Adobo has all the vinegar and garlic I need for a good dose of baby heartburn. Yeeah! But alas I cannot find my Nana so if you see this truck please tell Nana I am looking por her. Salamat!

Alright, my mouth is officially watering @ 10:30 at night. More to come so stay tuned!
